Alone but not Lonely

Twickenham Riverside Flood last Friday.

"The Sound of a Quiet Man"

Darkness pressing down,
light where one needs it,
cold,
wet,
half submerged,
calm,
half exposed,
still,
un-purged,
red with pain,
red with anger,
red with blood,
red with danger,
filth seeps in,
through holes in it's skin,
settling silt,
damage done,
permanent,
abandoned.
This is why you come?
To look, to stare,
To point.......don't care.
Alone but not lonely........................not alone....still bare!

beeeeauuutttiful!

I had an old VW bug that got caught in a flood... only the top was visible, lonely yellow dome. Waded in to push it out, engine had to be flushed, then all was well but stinky.

Hey there

You're probably not as alone as you think, now that all Samantha's buddies are reading your blog as well as hers! I think your blog is cool - I like your style.

Hi Amps:)

My friend had a yellow beetle. He Loves air cooled VW's. His last VW was a split screen camper from the 60's.
My pink beetle is in the great big scrap yard in the sky now:(

Thanks Lucy, nice to hear from you:) I don't really feel too alone these days, I have been in the past and my blog seems like a good place to let tiny bits of it out:) That dark space is always somewhere nearby and where as in the past I was lost in it, I am sort of learning to see it as a good place to go once in a while.

Take care:)

Lol I remember when Twick flooded and Aunty Linda and Uncle Ken were sat on the wall and their car was under water hahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Those were the days ... some time in the 1970s I seem to recall!

PS my dark place is under the bed or in the cupboard under the stairs ...
